The Sales Associate role is a specialised role with sole focus on the initial stage of the sales transaction. This role drives lead generation and acts as a conduit for qualified leads to be passed onto Account Managers or Sales Associates.  He/she is responsible for being the first interaction with a potential RISE customer; qualifying and assessing customers to pass off to sales.

The main focus of this role will be to generate leads through a variety of efforts including, email, web, discovery and individual research, or phone campaigns and analysing client-generated data, inbound marketing leads, prospect lists, past sales data and market trends – and convert these into opportunities for the Sales team.

A Sales Associate must be able to pay close attention to detail and possess the analytical skills to discern whether an interested client/company could be a potential customer, as well as have a excellent knowledge of RISE's products and processes.

Job responsibilities may include, but aren't limited to:

  • Gather contact information, market data, qualifiers and other information from prospective clients
  • Conduct surveys, either in phone or in person, of prospect companies
  • Answer queries via phone or web chat from customers or prospective clients
  • Generate sales lead and follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential clients
  • Use the Internet and public documents for research
  • Manage data for new and prospective clients from the RISE website ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate and documents are attached
  • Prepare and analyse sales pipeline reports and dashboards
  • Process lead lists down the lead funnel ensuring the most qualified leads hit the Sales team
  • Develop close working relationship with Sales Team to identify appropriate KPI's and metrics to support strategic objectives and revenue growth
  • Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications in order to move opportunities through the sales funnel
  • Identify and clearly and concisely articulate business problems, recommend solutions and the resulting business implications


  • 1-3 years telemarketing and/or experience in B2B outbound-calling sales environment
  • Have advanced-level internet, computer, and research skills to analyse and/or edit, data provided
  • General computer skills including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and experience in a Reporting/Dashboarding  tool
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Strong  written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to communicate with a diverse group of people in a clear and neutral manner
  • Knows how to probe and ask questions to yield best information
  • Be comfortable communicating with business executives in diverse industries
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities and competing deadlines with strong attention to detail
  • A hands-on and a can-do mentality
  • Self motivated and demonstrated ability to meet or exceed expectations
  • Be creative and persistent in finding ways to reach target audience
  • Possess poise and confidence and the ability to think quickly


  • Experience in similar role
  • Understanding of the Telecommunications industry favourable but not required
  • IT/Technical and Database skills
  • Strong English, Tagalog and Visayan communication skills
