As we're growing, and will continue to grow in the foreseeable future we require an HR Assistant who has solid experience in the full HR cycle from recruitment to onboarding, to help us with our ambitious human capital operations.

The HR Assistant will be tasked with ensuring staffing needs are addressed and will be responsible for onboarding, orientation, and general employee engagement. From time to time, they would have to coordinate with relevant division leads for matters pertaining to hiring, disciplinary action, promotions, or company activities.

The HR Assistant will need to be flexible, primarily looking after internal recruitment in a holistic end to end employee lifecycle view. You will need to manage your time in such a manner so as to remain responsive to our projects and timelines. You will be rated on your ideas and execution and this will ensure your career is as rewarding as what you put in. 

Job responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

  • Draft, create, or edit existing job descriptions or ads when assigned
  • Accurately and proactively update internal and external media boards of existing positions, closing them when filled, and reposting when hiring is still ongoing
  • Negotiate with external account managers (Mynimo, JobStreet, Kalibrr) to gain the best possible package for the Company in terms of pricing vs projected hiring needs
  • Continuously learn the requirements for each position either through internal portals or research
  • Effectively liaise with other Teams in terms of their hiring preferences and availability to take part of the recruitment process (technical / final interviews)
  • Maintain compliance with internal recruitment procedures unless otherwise given approval to change or edit as necessary
  • Identify potential quality candidates for advertised positions via resumes on job boards and recruiting individuals from direct sources and referrals
  • Schedule, perform, and coordinate interviews at a reasonable time, standard being 2 weeks, depending on the position open
  • Maintaining intelligence on potential target companies where candidates may be specifically marketed to (poaching and headhunting) (e.g. LinkedIn etc)
  • Make sound decisions in suggesting offer rates, rejections, or acceptance of applicants
  • Write detailed and accurate interview notes for each candidate interviewed
  • Working in a consultative fashion with line managers to ensure they are aware of human capital opportunities and being mindful of mentoring and learning opportunities of staff when filling positions
  • Performing reference checks and ensuring all candidates are replied to within a reasonable period of time, maximum 2 weeks from when resume is received, in regards to their applications (successful or not)

An ideal candidate would be: 

  • Analytical, and can give the output asked for without having to be explained everything in full
  • Self-starter, once given the task can push it forward and see it through until it is done without having to be constantly reminded or corrected
  • Curious, asks questions and outgoing enough to talk to employees about their work or day regardless if they are new to the company
  • Able to multitask, and can work on multiple projects at the same time without compromising the quality of the final output
  • Objective, and able to take feedback in all its forms and take it as points that they could improve themselves on


  • Required:
    • At least 2 years experience in the HR field with bulk of it on Recruitment
    • Familiar with Recruitment, Onboarding, REM & BEN, and Offboarding
    • Understanding of software technologies and skill/competency groups and equivalencies
    • High level of understanding of business line requirements preferably gained from exposure to software or shared service teams engaged in external consulting or internal project work
    • A working knowledge of online web systems and general computer skills (e.g. email / Word processing)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to manage various stakeholder groups such as competing internal recruitment requirements, vendors and activities
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in recruiting for the Software or TelCo industry
    • STEM background
    • With international experience or has worked with expats
    • Events organizing (internal and external)
